CEU Training Workshop – Integrative and Complementary Approaches for Behavioral Health
Many health care practitioners and psychotherapists utilize movement and stress management exercises for their own self-care and recognize these as effective adjunctive approaches for diverse physical/mental health issues. This training workshop provides a comprehensive curriculum as it pertains to professional counseling, yoga therapy, and the values and ethics of the healing arts. The objectives for this workshop are to:
• Understand the emotional, and biological benefits of stress management practices for physical/mental health care
(chronic health, trauma, addiction, family & relationship dynamics).
• Learn and practice how breathing, movement, and meditation can rebuild neural pathways in the brain for new behaviors and relapse prevention. No Yoga experience necessary.
• Understand the importance of case conceptualization for diverse settings and populations.
